1. What is attar, and how is it different from regular perfume?

Attar is a traditional, oil-based fragrance. it is historically drawn from flowers, woods, resins, and spices, and blended without alcohol. Because it's a concentrated oil rather than a spray, it sits closer to the skin and tends to develop and unfold differently over the day than an alcohol-based eau de parfum.

2. Are your products alcohol-free and safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, every Arhas attar is alcohol-free and oil-based. Without alcohol or synthetic diluents, our attars tend to be gentler on sensitive skin than spray perfumes. Everyone's skin is different though, so if you're prone to sensitivity, we'd recommend a small patch test on your wrist before applying more broadly.

3. Are Arhas products cruelty-free?

Yes. None of our attars, bakhoor, or accessories are tested on animals.

4. How long does the scent typically last?

Attar oils are highly concentrated, so they generally wear closer to the skin and linger longer than alcohol-based sprays. Exact wear time varies by scent, your skin chemistry, and the climate you're in, so we'd rather you experience it for yourself than promise an exact number of hours.

5. How do I apply attar oil?

A little goes a long way. Dab a small amount onto pulse points, wrists, neck, behind the ears by using the roll-on applicator. Because attars are more concentrated than spray perfumes, start with less than you'd normally use, then build up if you'd like it stronger.

6. Do you ship outside Canada?

Not yet. At the moment we ship within Canada only and don't offer international shipping.  it's something we hope to expand as we grow.

7. How long does shipping take, and how much does it cost?

Orders are typically processed the same or next business day. Once shipped, delivery within Canada usually takes 1–3 business days depending on your location. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your order and destination, and you'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

8. What is your return and exchange policy?

We offer a 15-day return window from the day you receive your order. Unopened items in their original condition are eligible for return within that window. Because fragrance is a personal, hygiene-sensitive product, opened or used attars, bakhoor, and burners can only be returned or exchanged if they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
